So a few posts back I showed you the ROLY POLY PAVLOVA I made and I suggested a caramel version would be nice. Well I did it and it was!
Use the same meringue recipe but instead layer it with caramel, hazelnuts and cream!
So This happened.
Brioche! Nutella! Mango! Chocolate Ice Cream!
Literally toasted Brioche, slathered in Nutella and then loaded with sliced Mango and Chocolate Ice Cream!
If you want an easy peasy little sweet to make, this is the one for you!
Simply do the following:
They are quite decedent, very creamy and sweet. My top to you would be to make them slightly smaller tun your tempted to do.
In preparation for Valentine’s Day tomorrow (and Gav returning from Utah after 3 weeks away!) I’ve been a full on storm in the kitchen.
I’ve prepped my pizza dough for the homemade pizzas I intend to cook, I’ve made most of my salted caramel popcorn panacotta and I decided to make some Oreo truffles using some left over ingredients.
If you haven’t had an Oreo truffle before, don’t ever have one because once you do, the dark side will consume you! But if you must have one, they really are quite easy to make:
Easy. Quick. Devilish
Friday night was treat night with my beautiful new mummy friend, Loveday!
We went to Alderley Edge and as we failed to book anywhere, ended up in the Italian chain Gustos. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind Gustos but I prefer non chains.
Anyway, we shared a cheesy garlic bread (delicious), I had the pork gnocchi main (too oily) and I ended on a brownie with pistachio ice cream (delightful). All helped down with champagne and cocktails.
Great night, there are better places to go here but I couldn’t complain too much. Good service and cheap!
I had a girlfriend stay over this weekend and in an attempt to make a dessert that was both sweet and not too naughty, I went for the good old faithful chocolate strawberries (I also made some shortbread!!)
I used milk, dark and white chocolate and I seriously forgot how delicious theses are!
I also made shortbread for the 1st time. Big mistake, I may end up making these way too often.
You can not underestimate this dessert, it’s a mammoth monster of calories and deliciousness which is a very dangerous pairing.
The base is simply crushed Oreos and butter.
The middle layer is a mixture of peanut butter and more butter.
The topping is a lashing of melted chocolate and even more butter!
Yes it’s dangerous but wow is it divine to eat. I wouldn’t recommend you try this!
