Last night we made it home from London and knowing I would be zonked I decided to do a very rare thing for my household….. I ordered ready made food! 😱
This tapas selection came from Tesco and despite it offering a tasty and varied sounding selection, it was wholly disappointing. Everything tasted pretty much the same and has this underlying synthetic taste.
The best part was the ciabatta which I personally toasted and drizzled with truffle oil and fig balsamic.
Lesson learnt, cheaters never prosper.
*Dont be fooled by its alluring look!
One day I will learn.
On occasions, rare occasions (I’m talking maybe 6 times a year) I will purchase a ready meal.
Yesterday was one of these occasions. Due to a busy weekend away I didn’t go food shopping and so instead, I nipped to Marks’s and purchased an Indian banquet.
So, so disappointed. It was bland and incredibly dry. I must make this my last ever ready meal purchase!
This week has been so naughty. Yes I have been hitting the gym, but boy have I been hitting the calories too.
Tonight, I somehow managed to fall into bed with a very sleepy malamute (Gray) and a very creamy hot chocolate. Oops! ☺️
16 inches of Joy!
Total naughty night last night!
No cooking, just a massive 16 inch takeaway pizza!!
Chicken, bbq, pineapple, sweet corn. Oh my!
Babylon pizza Knutsford: I don’t highly rate it but it’s the only pizza place that delivers to my village so pizza beggars can’t be choosers!
After a mammoth weekend (the good kind) today I feel about as energetic as a sloth may feel after a long walk and the consumption of a Sunday dinner…. Not energetic at all!
For that reason I nipped to Marks and Spencers and bought some meatballs and mini roasties. A simple 25 minutes roast and dinner was served. OK so this lacked afford on my side but come on, everyone needs a break once in a while?
As it happens, I didn’t love it. I’ll stick to cooking from fresh next time…
Last night we returned home at about 6pm after a weekend of 2 christenings, 1 wedding and a total of over 9 hours driving! Needless to say I was super tired and so rather than cook, I bought a pie from our local co op and put my feet up!
It was a steak pie and I accompanied it with some mini roast potatoes and sweetcorn. It was deliciously naughty but just what I needed after a busy weekend. Comfort food at its best!!!!!
