I had the need for serious comfort food lastnight and so I made my way to Jamie’s ministry of food. This book is full of easy, tasty recipes but more importantly, they are all very homely recipes!

Now I’ve made many a Bolognese before but never this one. It took some prep: some chopping and about an hour to simmer but it’s really worth it. The sauce resulted in being thick and flavorful and it really hit the spot .

Apologies, I forgot to take a picture, but trust me, it looked like you would assume.

I’d recommend you try this one, beats a shop bought sauce any day!

Last night I made this pasta dish.

To be honest I wasn’t really looking forward to it and I had hoped that we would go to the cinema and therefore avoid it. However we had to much to do (packing for our weekend trip) and so stayed home.

(Incase your wondering why I would make a dish I don’t really want to? I have a “thing” we’re I need to try EVERY recipe from my books…don’t ask 😏)

So I made it, and it was bland and boring and everything I expected.

I couldn’t bring myself to serve it to Gav and so I added some passata, cream cheese and Parmesan and it was transformed!

Still not amazing but at least it had flavor. (And I cracked open a bottle of wine so it wasn’t all bad!!)

Needless to say, I don’t recommend this one but below is the recipe should you wish to be strange! 😯
