Pineapple and chocolate: what a way to start the day!

  • 1 whole pineapple! 😱
  • Chocolate protein whey powder
  • Greek yoghurt
  • Almond milk
  • Pineapple juice

Marvelous. Tasty. Healthy. Boom!

Easy prep breakfast pot!

This week I have been enjoying these darling little breakfast pots, the idea is courtesy of a lovely Pinterest pinner!


Basically the core recipe is:

  • Porridge oats
  • Almond Milk
  • Greek Yoghurt

Then you can mix up the flavours……………………A couple of my favourites to date is honey, blueberry and of course, peanut butter!

All you need to do is mix everything together, pop it in the fridge overnight and in the morning you have a creamy, tasty delight!

Healthy, easy, quick and delish!

I suppose the mason jar is optional but I think to cute not to do.

Steak Au Poivre (ummm steak on a Tuesday!)

Last night I said to Gav “Steak or Chicken?” He actually deliberated this!!!!!! But then answered steak, phew!

Although I ❤️love❤️ steak I would normally avoid a peppercorn sauce as I find it a little too peppery but as per my odd inability to deviate from a recipe, I did as I was told.

I’m rather glad I did! The steak was blooming marvelous and although it was peppery, I enjoyed it and would participate more in future peppercorn sauce eating! My oddness pays off.

I had my steak rare as I absolutely adore it this way but I cooked Gav’s slightly more as he is more of a medium to rare man.

As a side I roasted some sweet potatoes and cauliflower in a tad of olive oil with plenty of seasoning.

A great tea, felt a little naughty for a Tuesday even though it was out of the weight watchers book!!! I narrowly avoided a glass of wine with this bad boy dish!





A PLAICE for mushrooms

(I’ve never had quite this many mushrooms in one dish)

This weeks fish dish comes from the fast and easy recipe book, a favorite for midweek cooking!

I can’t say I have had much plaice before and honestly I don’t think I’ll have too much in the future based on this. Don’t get me wrong, the dish as a whole was very tasty indeed but the fish alone I found quite bland and boring.

It was most defiantly the Parmesan sprinkling really made this dish, it elevated it to a level which without, it wouldn’t have reached.

In respect if sides, as it was simply fish and mushrooms I added some mustard mash which gave it a better portion size. Not too over whelming but without this addition I would certainly have been left hungry.

A good mid weeker overall but I would recommend a fish substitution…some chunky cod would have worked nicely.
